Broughton, Shelly

For over 30 years, painter Shelly Broughton has been bringing a little extra sparkle in the world—literally. Specializing in acrylics with her signature touch of glitter, Shelly's work captures the magic of moonlit skies, whimsical Halloween scenes, playful animals, and enchanting landscapes. She is especially loved for her glittery winter animals, which shimmer with personality and charm.

Shelly's creative journey began painting murals and faux finishes inside client's homes, and over time blossomed into a thriving studio practice. Today, she creates in a small, light-filled studio tucked insider her floral garden, surrounded by buzzing bees, fluttering butterflies, and singing birds. Her constant companions—two orange tiger cats and two golden retrievers—bring joy to her days as she paints.

Each piece Shelly creates is infused with her love of nature, her playful spirit, and her belief that art should bring happiness. For her, being an artist isn't just a career—it's a blessing, a passion, and a way to spread a little wonder into everyday life.
