October Rds
Art Dolls/Figurative Sculpture
Halloween has always inspired Christopher's life. It's been a lifelong obsession. From an early age, growing up in Wisconsin, that chill would kiss the air. He knew magic was right around the corner. When he and his siblings were too small to carve a pumpkin, his mother would have them pick theirs out, and the next morning they would wake up to exquisitely hand painted faces. He would also watch in amazement as she went all out decorating their childhood home and making costumes. The excitement would build and build from there to go trick or treating. After, he was already dreaming of what his next year's costume could be.
His love of the season only grew and turned into making masks, costumes and Halloween props. It transformed into figurines, luminaries and art dolls. He sells under his business name, OctoberRds, which he opened in 2013. His primary medium is polymer clay of all kinds.
Christopher describes his art as whimsical realism with roots in the past. And always witchy. Witches are his favorite.
He has been featured in Prims Magazine, Autumn Brilliance Magazine, and Spooky Little Halloween Magazine. Christopher is a member of EHAG since 2024. He will have two creations displayed at the Eastend Studio and Gallery in Marshall, MI, September 2025.
Christopher sells his work on his BigCartel shop.
