David H. Everett is a hands-on sculptor with a soft spot for all things spooky and whimsical. Working through his studio name, "Chicken Lips,” David creates his characters exclusively in clay (no molds). Every one of his creations is carefully hand-shaped, detailed, and painted to life by hand. From the first swipe of gesso to the final protective seal, each piece is a labor of love layered with acrylics, oils, stains, and a pinch of magic.

Halloween has always been his favorite season, and that mischievous, pumpkin-scented spirit sneaks into nearly everything he makes. His characters—be they charming witches, wide-eyed skeletons, or grinning pumpkins—are designed to stir up nostalgia, laughter, and just a touch of goosebumps. 

In the end, David's hope is simple: that each sculpture becomes more than just décor. He wants his characters to bring joy year after year, sparking smiles and stories whenever they’re unpacked for spooky season—or perhaps kept out on display all year long for fellow Halloween enthusiasts who know the magic never really ends.
