Lee, Cali
Halloween Treasure Studio
Assemblages, Decor, Painting
Cali is a long tenured artist beloved for her mastery of “Halloweenifying” vintage objects. Cali has created Halloween since childhood and attended college for fine art. Cali works in charcoal drawing and bronze sculpture, but is best known in the Halloween world for acrylic painting on vintage objects. She is especially known for her Halloween clocks, but has done many items including mirrors, boxes, games, lamps, toys, and musical instruments. She is known for her bright colors, attention to detail, immaculate brush handling, and designs inspired from the late Victorian area to the 1970s. The strongest decades in her work are the 1920s and 1930s with a Bogie Book vibe.
In addition to creating OOAK work, Cali is an interior designer and collects vintage Halloween.
She has sold on eBay and most recently from her website. She is no longer producing much work and is best collected by periodic web sales (which sell out). She is one of the top Halloween artists of our time. She has created a limited amount of commission work. She has no known licensing agreements.
The "I go Nuts for Halloween" work pictured is a vintage wood box with nutcracking tools inside. It is currently in the collection of Kristen Stafford.
