Clay Doll Face
Artist Janice Lumm created Clay Doll Face in 2016, as a place to showcase and sell her handcrafted wares. As a lover of vintage Halloween, Janice strives to capture this aesthetic in her work. Originally, she started with highly detailed 20 inch dolls, but as time went on, the dolls became smaller and easier to produce. One day, Janice had an epiphany to bring back the classic dangle pin that she remembered from her childhood.
Janice works her magic with paper clay for her one-of-a-kind pieces and polymer clay for pieces meant for reproduction, which are then molded and cast in resin. Either way, each piece is hand crafted and hand painted with many other fine details added along the way.
In the summer of 2023, she teamed up with Johanna Parker, for a line of dangle pins of Johanna’s many whimsical characters, through the JPD Partners in Craft program. Janice has since introduced the first dangle shelf sitter clock of Johanna’s infamous Black Cat Jack character, with more to come.
