Brandi McKenna’s delightful and sometimes frightful paper mache "man in the moon" lanterns and other Halloween creations have been widely collected since she began sculpting them over 17 years ago. She is especially drawn to the nostalgic Halloween decor of the 1920s as inspiration for her work.

Inspired by childhood memories of the moon "following" her, Brandi brings the moon to life in the spirit of a Halloween jack-o'-lantern. She uses her unique found technique involving pulp paper mache layered with plaster and enamels. Brandi currently lives and works in the foothills of North Carolina.

While her work was previously featured at shows such as Halloween and Vine in California and the National Halloween Convention in New Jersey, she now focuses on sharing her art online. Her latest creations can be viewed via her Facebook page under her name.
