Amy's Art Show Tips

Don’t be afraid to approach your favorite artist at the show! I assure you, they love to hear what you enjoy about their work. Say “Hi” and chat for a moment but remember that the show is a very busy time for these folks. Try not to monopolize their time or block their booth space from other patrons.
Do make your way swiftly to your favorite artist. Remember, if you see something you love, don’t think about it too long. These one of a kind pieces are snatched up in a hurry!!
Don’t touch (or allow children to touch) the artists’ work without asking. These are handmade pieces and many are fragile. It’s best to be considerate and careful.
Do wear your Halloween finest! Get out that witch’s hat, your Halloween sweater, a little face paint…and comfortable shoes.
Do bring cash. With the flurry of purchasing that happens throughout the show, there can be delays with credit card readers. Paying with cash can help you quickly make your purchase so that you can move on to see the next artist.
Do be kind to all of the folks helping with the show. They’ve worked so very hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. We are all here to have a marvelous time.
Amy's Bewitching Peddlers of Halloween Tips

Do attend the Eastend Gallery Exhibition on the Friday night before the show to see work from some of the artists participating in Bewitching Peddlers of Halloween. This is an opportunity to meet and greet some of your favorite artists!
Do arrive in Marshall early and remain flexible. At the fairgrounds, numbers are issued for entry into the building. Folks arrive days in advance in order to secure a good spot in line. Once you have received your number, you are free to roam about Marshall and enjoy the sights and shops. Folks will then reconvene the morning of the show and line up in numerical order.
Don’t be discouraged if you get a high entry number. The line enters the building VERY quickly and you’ll have tons of beautiful artwork to choose from!
Do enjoy the fun of Marshall, MI! Check out the shops, restaurants, breweries and historical landmarks! The Honolulu House is a gorgeous historic home that visitors can tour. The American Museum of Magic is also a fun stop. Copper Athletic Club and Schuler’s Restaurant both have extensive menus and delicious food. The Dark Horse Brewery and the Grand River Brewery are enjoyable stops for the craft beer lovers in your party.
