Must-See Collector Videos: Jann Capone’s Pennsylvania Pumpkin Paradise

In this series, I’ll be sharing must-see Halloween decor videos. All of the collectors proudly display original art pieces amongst their assemblies of Halloween treasures. Not only are the videos fun to watch, they’re overflowing with inspiration and invite us to connect with fellow art lovers.

Our first featured video is “Halloween Collecting and Design By Jann ~ 2025.” We discovered it when artist Allen Cunningham shared a link to this YouTube video. Jann Blazona Capone, is an interior designer and collector who currently lives in Pennsylvania. Jann has more than 40 years of collecting experience, mostly from the West Coast.

Here’s my key takeaways after viewing this jaw-dropping home tour:

• Add empty frames to your display: Jann collects empty antique picture frames. They’re beautiful on their own, and also serve as amazing backdrops and boundaries for her vintage and Halloween folk art.

• Roll out some milking stools: She loves to stage and display art and collectables on milking stools. After watching her tour, I did a quick search and I was impressed by both their availability and variety of sizes and styles. Keep your eye out for them to use as bases for displays.

• Pick a palette: Jann is an expert in the use of color palettes for unity. Her 1920s home is light, filled with white walls and furniture, grounded by black. This makes her orange decorations pop. She thoughtfully groups artists that have complimentary styles and palettes.

• Hang a wire: Her use of a large wire chain to display ornaments and lanterns is brilliant and provides party vibes in her sun room.

• Documentation shortcut: Jann invites us to leave tags on our purchases. They provide a record of price paid, artist, and other background information.
